COURSE DESCRIPTION


In the United States, federal enforcement of regulations impacting the financial industry has been robust. This course covers laws impacting financial institutions worldwide and includes visits to governmental agencies and private entities directly involved in enforcing these regulations, such as the New York Supreme Court, Wall Street, and law firms, among other places.


INSTRUCTOR

Joey A. Chbeir serves as Of Counsel in the International Trade, Immigration and Litigation practices at Maynard Cooper. His practice focuses on international business transactions, litigation, and immigration law. He has represented individual and corporate clients in matters involving international law, corporate law, railroad law, business transactions, immigration law and commercial litigation. He has also assisted foreign individuals and companies in setting up businesses in the United States. He is fluent in English, French, and Arabic. Chbeir holds two LL.M. degrees from the University of Alabama School of Law and the University of Minnesota Law School. He has an LL.B. from Université La Sagesse.
