Sep 17, 2014 6:30 PM–8:30 PM
LAU New York
Using a visually captivating slide presentation, Nada Sara will address the criteria by which five properties in Lebanon were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The sites reflect a rich tradition of cross-cultural interactions that have contributed to shaping the world today. They are recognized for the diffusion of an alphabet, the invention of purple dye, the establishment of colonies and palace-cities, the pilgrimages to religious sanctuaries, and early monastic settlements.
