Captain Philip Beale presents on his upcoming expedition to prove that the Phoenicians used a sophisticated navigation system to cross the Atlantic way before Columbus.
Beale is a retired British navy Captain who, with a team of sailors, is planning to cross the Atlantic on an exact replica of a Phoenician Merchant Ship to prove that the Phoenicians had the navigational capabilities to reach the Americas around 2000 years before Christopher Columbus. The expedition will take place in September 2017 and will be launched in Gibraltar accosting in different cities before crossing the Atlantic and reaching America.
