Theme:
“Methodology, Epistemology and Pedagogy of Model United Nations”:
For the past 14 years, the Lebanese American University (LAU) has been a pioneer in simulation programs both in Lebanon and New York.
With more than 36,359 high school and middle school students taking part in LAU’s various simulation programs and conferences such as (Model UN, Model Arab League, Model European Union, and Global Classrooms International in New York), it is about time to build upon the potential of various school advisors and students. The 2019 GOLD conference will provide a clear-cut methodology and introduce the Model UN’s introspective perspective in terms of delegate preparation, teacher preparation, and staff preparation. The United Nations system, structure, and strategy will be demystified for better performance on all levels for all participants.
Various United Nations Specialized agencies, such as United Nations Volunteers, UNHCR, UNICEF, WFP, and FAO, as well as other prominent organizations are expected to attend in order to enrich discussions through both interactive workshops and hands-on experience.
